Come experience my passion! Boca Grande Tarpon Fishing, Snook Fishing, Redfish, Permit, and other various species.
Tarpon aka the silver king is a incredible gamefish, known for it’s long runs and acrobats when they are hooked. Boca Grande is the tarpon capital of the world. These fish make an annual migration from April-August. Come fish just off the beach in the crystal clear water from manasota key to world famous Boca Grande pass. Cast to rolling pods of 20-100 fish, it Is amazing to see when a 100lb fish comes up and takes your bait! Tarpon range in size from 40-200lbs! This is one of the most sought after gamefish in the world!
Permit are a hard fighting long running fish they will definitely put tackle to the test! These bruisers range in size from 10-60lbs. They can be caught on a variety of baits from shrimp to small blue crabs and pass crabs. They are a very smart fish and can be very hard to fool. It is not uncommon to see 50-300 fish finning when the sun comes up, these fish are found on nearshore reefs and wrecks as well as passes and grass flats. The best time to fish for permit is March-September
Snook is one of the number one game fish in Florida, they are now for their hard strikes and long runs. Snook can be caught on the flats, in the mangroves, around bridges and docks, and on nearshore reefs. Snooks are some of the hardest fighting inshore fish and can be caught year round.
Redfish is one of the Florida favorites, they can be caught almost anywhere in our area, flats, mangroves, docks and bridges, beaches, and intercostal waterway. Redfish is a very hard fighting fish and have some of the best topwater strikes, their mouth is on the bottom so they come out of the water violently to strike a top water lure! Redfish can be very orange and bronze to a whitish color depending where they are caught. There’s nothing like pulling up to a flat and seeing a bunch of tailing redfish! Redfish can be caught year round in our area.
Night fishing is a great way to target fish in our area. Most of the fish I target at night are Snook and Tarpon. Snook and Tarpon both feed very well at night and can be targeted year round, the size of the tarpon vary, but the average size we catch at night are 10-40lbs. This is a great trip if you want to get a snook or tarpon on the fly rod.
Fly fishing can be done for all species except permit, the permit are on nearshore reefs and typically in 35-55’ of water. I prefer fly fisherman who know how to fly fish, this is not a trip for someone who wants to try fly fishing and never done it before! Please be able to cast at least 30-40’ migratory tarpon fishing for the big tarpon require a cast of 60-100’ if you would like to try your fly fishing skills at some of the hardest game fish in the country, let’s go fly fishing! I myself am an avid fly fisherman and have been fly fishing for many many years.
